K.O Recalls Shooting “Run Jozi” Music Video With AKA Ahead Of “King Size” Release. As South African hip-hop artist K.O gears up for the release of his highly anticipated single “King Size,” he is reflecting on a significant moment from his career: the filming of the iconic “Run Jozi” music video with the late rapper AKA.
The collaboration, which was released in 2016, is often regarded as a classic in the South African music scene, showcasing the vibrant energy and unique flair of both artists. Taking to Instagram, KO shared throwback pictures of him and the late Kiernan Forbes during the shooting of Run Jozi Music video. “Shooting the Run Jozi video 10 years ago. New K.O & @akaworldwide at midnight #KingSize,” wrote K.O.
As K.O prepares for the release of “King Size,” he is excited to bring fans another taste of his artistic evolution. The single is expected to showcase K.O’s growth as a musician at the same time featuring the late AKA whom he has worked on many joints including Run Jozi.
K.O expressed his admiration for AKA, describing him as a visionary artist who significantly impacted the South African music industry. The two artists often supported each other in their respective careers, and K.O mentioned how much he cherished the memories of their time together.
“That gentleman was so polarizing, that like even when he doesn’t have a hard record going you can still feel his presence,”K.O said. “Whether it’s his antics on social media or just his private life and all those things that he was doing. So even beyond that for me as a man and as an artist, I’m not gonna lie to you I’ve pulled a lot from him just from a competitive standpoint, so whereas like, he did that, I’m gonna try to do that.”
