After initially divorcing in September 2021, Miguel and Nazanin Mandi announced their reconciliation in February of this year.
Nazanin Mandi, Miguel’s wife, has requested a divorce.
Mandi, 36, and Miguel, also 36, filed for divorce in the Superior Court of California in Los Angeles County on Tuesday, according to court documents acquired by PEOPLE on Tuesday.
Mandi requested that their assets and properties be divided in accordance with their prenuptial agreement, citing irreconcilable differences.
The request for comment from PEOPLE was not immediately answered by a Miguel spokesman.
Days before filing, Mandi uploaded a series of pictures on Instagram in which she discussed her “present path of introspection.”
She commented that she was “now on a voyage of reflection and uncovering my purest me again… when and who was I when I was my most liberated and self-assured self… ” “She is still present. And rising to the challenge, one healing step at a time, but this time with life experience, clearly defined wants, and an elevated perspective. We’ve got you covered if this is you.”
Her choice was made more than a year after she and Miguel made their split announcement in September 2021.
A representative for the couple exclusively revealed to PEOPLE at the time that “Miguel and Nazanin Mandi have decided to split and have been doing so for some time now.” “The couple sends each other good wishes.”
In November 2018, the couple, who dated for ten years before being engaged in 2016, wed at the Hummingbird Nest Ranch in Simi Valley, California.
This February, they revealed they decided to work things out when the Dreamcatcher actress shared a series of photos on Instagram with the “Adorn” singer — and the couple didn’t hold back on showing off their affection.
Mandi and Miguel appeared to be getting ready for their Valentine’s Day adventure in the pictures, when they were seen laughing, kissing, and hugging each other.
Mandi captioned the photo with the phrase “repair the root so the tree is stable.” “I’m really pleased with us. Xoxo, The Pimentels.”
A variety of emojis, including a red heart, a flame, the heart eyes, and the money-mouth expression, were used by Miguel to respond afterwards.
When Mandi uploaded images and videos of the two spending a winter weekend at the Amangiri in Canyon Point, Utah, rumours of a potential reconciliation began to circulate.

Mandi discussed maintaining her relationship while under quarantine with host Janine Rubenstein on the PEOPLE Every Day podcast in March 2021.
She remarked at the time, “We were used to being with each other a lot, but then we were also used to travelling a lot.” Since we were in separate places, it was important for us to maintain the spark since we automatically get excited when we see each other again.
However, she continued, “because we are at home all the time, we have to find new things to watch, do, and read. “Although it was a lot, overall we did really well. I am thankful for everything, and I have no complaints.”
