One of the first to receive an Intel 13th Gen Core review kit is the German shop Caseking.
Review kits are currently being sent out to tech media and merchants who took part in Intel’s 13th Gen Core series launch. Only 962 of these kits were produced, and two of them have been confirmed to have reached their destination, according to what was demonstrated.
In a promotional movie from Caseking, the kit is displayed in great detail. It comes in a big box with two desktop SKUs: i9-13900K and i5-13600K. A little plastic container containing the die shot for Raptor Lake also contains a cheat sheet with the die’s specifications.
Thanks to more Efficient cores, the 13th Generation series has up to 24 cores. The package insert features a die shot with a second group of Gracemont cores printed on it. Raptor Cove microarchitecture, which provides a larger L2 cache and faster clock speeds, was also improved for performance cores.
Now that Caseking has received confirmation that the review kit has arrived, genuine reviewers should shortly receive it. Raptor Lake supports old 600 series motherboards as well, thus testing can now start even though the newest 700-series motherboards are not yet available.
