Splatoon 3

Splatoon 3 is already breaking records for popularity in Japan.

Honestly, INK-reliable

A press release claims that over 3.45 million copies of the third game in the well-known Splatoon franchise were sold in Japan over the course of three days. According to VGC, Splatoon 3 has the largest Japanese launch of any Nintendo game and reportedly the largest Japanese launch of any platform.

2015 saw the release of the first Splatoon game for the Wii U, which was a rare new IP for Nintendo. The show is set in a universe where creatures can change between cephlapodic and human forms and engage in territorial conflict by blasting ink at one another. Because of its unique third-person shooter perspective, the game gained enormous popularity. The series’ second instalment, which was released in 2017 for the Nintendo Switch, improved several of the gameplay elements and lengthened the narrative.

Splatoon 3 was released last Friday, September 9. New weapons and gameplay elements are included in the third instalment of the series.
