Summer music program for high schoolers has new format

Flaunt Weeekly Algoma University’s Great Lakes International Summer Music Experience runs from July 14 to 27

Algoma University’s summer music program for high schoolers has a new format.

The refreshed and reimagined Great Lakes International Summer Music Experience ( Glism) aims to help musicians elevate their skills, build confidence, and connect with peers who share their passion for music.

“GLISME represents a new and exciting chapter in Algoma University’s commitment to inspiring young artists,” said the program’s executive director, Matthew Warnock, in a news release.

“This new format creates even more opportunities for students to learn, perform, and thrive in a supportive and creative environment.”

The immersive two-week experience runs from July 14 to 27 with expert ensemble coaching, hands-on workshops, and live performances at top venues in Sault Ste. Marie.

Applications are now openand spaces are limited.

All accepted students receive a 90-per-cent scholarship, bringing the registration fee to just $150.
