A few new tough devices from Samsung have been unveiled for US enterprise users. One device, the Galaxy XCover 6 Pro, has been officially launched in the United States alongside the Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro.
The Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro is the first to be made available for purchase via Amazon Business, Samsung’s business portal, and other tier one and tier two IT channel partners. Starting today, the robust tablet will cost $649 and higher. The business sells a 6GB model with 128GB of storage for $709 in addition to the standard device’s 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Both can be purchased using Wi-Fi-only connectivity or 5G, which supports the networks of Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile. Costing $759 and $819, respectively, are the 5G versions.
A Snapdragon 778G 5G chipset powers Samsung’s newest rugged tablet. It boasts a 10.1-inch display with a 1920 x 1200 resolution and a maximum brightness of 550 nits. The tablet comes with Samsung DeX, and the panel supports the S Pen.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro is protected with a MIL-STD 810H anti-shock case while having an IP68 rating on its own. A user-replaceable 7,600mAh battery and mPOS-ready NFC compatibility are further special features. The tablet comes pre-installed with Android 12 and a year’s worth of Knox Suite. Samsung promises five years of security patches and three OS upgrades.
The USA will have the Galaxy XCover 6 Pro next month.
The XCover 6 Pro smartphone is the second rugged Galaxy handset that will be available in the USA. The launch price for the US market has not been disclosed by the firm, however as of October 20, the phone will be sold through Samsung’s online store.
The Galaxy XCover 6 Pro will receive four OS updates along with Android 12. The same Snapdragon 778G 5G chipset that powers the tablet also powers the phone. One memory option with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage will be available.
The tough Samsung smartphone boasts an Infinity-V notch for the 13MP front camera and a 6.6-inch TFT LCD screen with a resolution of 2408 x 1080. In addition to an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP wide sensor on the back of the phone, I should mention that.
The phone also boasts MIL-STD-810H-certified construction, IP68 rating, and mPOS-Ready NFC connectivity. The removable battery has a 4,050mAh capacity.
Both the Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro and the Galaxy XCover 6 Pro have standard features including a 3.5mm headphone jack and expandable storage through microSD.
