The Weeknd abruptly ended his Los Angeles concert on Saturday night, citing vocal issues.
According to the Los Angeles Times, he walked off the stage in the middle of a performance of his hit “Can’t Feel My Face.” Another song began to play briefly before the lights came on at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood.
According to a video shared on Twitter by a concertgoer, The Weekend then returned to the stage to apologise for his vocal issues and promised the audience a refund.
“I’m going to make sure everyone is okay, and you’ll get your money back,” he assured the audience. “But I’ll do a show for you guys soon.”
“I can’t give you everything I want to,” he added.
The Weeknd explained what happened in a tweet late Saturday.

“During the first song, my voice went out, and I’m devastated,” he wrote. “My heart stopped when I felt it leave. Please accept my heartfelt apologies to my fans. I promise to make amends with a new date.”
The “After Hours Til Dawn” tour will resume on September 22 in Toronto. Due to the pandemic, the tour was previously postponed twice.
