After months of hints and leaks, the full story is about to be told.
The Nothing Phone 1 might be the most exciting phone of the year, if only because the company knows how to get people excited about a new product. Even if you’re tired of hearing little bits of news about the Phone 1, the launch event is probably the time to finally find out everything there is to know about it. It will start on July 12 at 4 pm BST, which is 11 am ET, 8 am PT, and 8:30 pm IST. You can watch it right here on Android Police.
The live stream will be on YouTube and on the website for Nothing. Nothing is calling it the “Return to Instinct” event, and they say it will make technology fun and exciting again. You can listen to it here.
Since we already know so much about Phone 1, you might think that the company doesn’t have much more to tell us about it. But there are still a few things about which we haven’t heard anything official. Even though we’ve seen the first pictures of Nothing’s custom Android skin, Nothing OS, we still don’t know a lot about it. Some specs, like the cameras, are still a bit of a mystery.
We do know a lot about the phone, though, that can’t be denied. We’ve had a lot of hands-on time with the Phone 1’s unique transparent back and its “Glyph” interface, which uses LEDs. We also know what processor and screen to expect (a Snapdragon 778G+ and a 120Hz OLED), and we know that it will support both wireless charging and charging in the opposite direction. If you’re interested in the software, you can even try it out on your phone by downloading the Nothing Launcher from the Play Store.
To buy Phone 1, you must first join a waitlist and buy a pre-order ticket. This will give you a chance to buy the Phone 1 after the launch event when it goes on sale. The details can be found on the Nothing website. You can only get these pre-order tickets until the launch event, so if you still want to get a unit as soon as possible, you should move quickly.
