Whoopi Goldberg said on Monday’s episode of The View, “I don’t know my face with eyebrows,” explaining why she has lived most of her life without them.
When it comes to current beauty trends, Whoopi Goldberg is miles ahead.
On Monday’s episode of The View, the EGOT winner, 66, explained why she doesn’t have eyebrows while talking about how celebrities like Kendall Jenner, Lady Gaga, and Doja Cat have recently made the “no-brow style” more fashionable.
When Goldberg was a young child, she removed her eyebrows since she noticed that men sometimes develop unsightly pimples on their faces. “So I just keep doing it,” she continued, “since I never notice how my face looks with eyebrows on unless I’m working.”
After six years of sharing a chair with Goldberg on the talk programme, Sara Haines, another panellist, revealed that she “never noticed” the lack of eyebrows on Goldberg. When she realised, Ana Navarro added that she “was today years old” as well.
Because of what you can see on my face, you are aware of their whereabouts. As a result, Goldberg explained, “when you’re looking at me, your eye sees eyebrows when there are none.”
Three-times divorcee Goldberg remarked that she also managed to trick one of her ex-husbands: “I was married to a man who did not notice until one day he exclaimed, “Oh my God, you don’t have any eyebrows,” and I answered, “Yeah, I know.”
Stars like Kanye West, Amandla Stenberg, and Jodie Turner-Smith are just a few that have recently embraced the au naturel beauty style, despite the fact that it is hardly a new trend.
After joining the programme in 2007, Goldberg has appeared on The View for 16 seasons as of last week’s return of season 26. The women of The View are the gutsiest women on TV, she claimed in a PEOPLE exclusive video for the upcoming season, adding, “This is genuinely a family.”
