Emily-Ratajkowski-Files-Divorce-From-Sebastian-Bear-McClard

After four years of marriage, Emily Ratajkowski files for divorce from Sebastian Bear-McClard.

With Sebastian Bear-McClard, Emily Ratajkowski has initiated divorce proceedings.

According to Page Six, the actress, model, novelist, and designer filed the document in Manhattan Supreme Court on Thursday. The publication was the first to break the news of her divorce in July following claims Bear-McClard was unfaithful.

The couple cannot agree on settlement terms on their own or with a mediator, so they must turn to a judge to have the matter decided through divorce litigation, according to court papers obtained by the site.

Ratajkowski’s representative has not yet commented in response to Yahoo Entertainment’s request.

Before beginning to date in early 2018, Ratajkowski and Bear-McClard, a film producer, were friends for a number of years. They were married in a civil ceremony on February 23, 2018, just a few weeks after they first appeared together as a pair. They made the announcement of her pregnancy in October 2020, and Sylvester, their only child, was born in March 2021.

After four years of marriage, they reportedly divorced on July 8 of this year. Soon after, allegations that he had cheated began to spread. While neither have publicly confirmed that was the cause of their breakup, she stood out for like multiple Twitter posts about cheating claims, according to a source who told Page Six at the time, “Yeah, he cheated. He’s a serial cheater. It’s filthy. He’s a dog.”

Ratajkowski was seen packing up their shared house in the latter part of August. Only their child’s nanny is apparently used for communication between the soon-to-be ex-spouses.

The My Body author joked about having a thing for “ugly men” in a TikTok video this week, adding in the comment, “For legal reasons this is a joke,” that she was “a recently single person who’s thinking about dating and everything.”

Ratajkowski attended a New York Fashion Week reception held at Gracie Mansion by NYC Mayor Eric Adams, Vogue, and the Council of Fashion Designers of America on the day she filed for divorce.
