Association for Computing Machinery’s PR Business is won by Wireside

Following an evaluation of competing agencies, Wireside has been selected as ACM’s official agency.

The Association for Computing Machinery, a Boston-based nonprofit organisation with about 100,000 members, has hired Wireside Communications to help with its PR efforts.

Wireside will offer thought leadership programming, strategic media relations, and analyst and influencer engagement as the official agency of record for ACM. The tech company will also be in charge of organising events and managing the organization’s social media.

Following a competitive evaluation with an incumbent, Wireside began its partnership with ACM, the biggest educational and scientific computing society in the world, in August.

ACM senior marketing manager Bruce Shriver said, “We are excited to start our work with Wireside, an agency that brings deep industry experience, fresh ideas, and a new perspective to the table, as we continue to expand awareness of ACM as a leading source of cutting-edge research, breakthrough discoveries, and practical solutions to real-world challenges for computing and IT professionals throughout the world.

Wireside, which was founded approximately 20 years ago, was revived in 2020 by its co-CEOs, creator Joya Subudhi and former Racepoint Global CEO RJ Bardsley. ACM joins current customers like NTT, Infineon, and The Internet Society.
