According to sources cited by Page Six, Kevin Federline agreed to give a shocking interview regarding his ex-wife Britney Spears’ alleged estrangement from their sons because he and the boys are concerned about the superstar’s untreated mental illness.
Because he and the lads are upset, Kevin conducted the interview. One person with knowledge of the Federline situation said, “They are concerned that everyone is entirely ignoring the fact that Britney is [battling mental challenges], which is not a secret.
Any allegations that Federline gave the interview out of concern for the singer, according to a Spears source, are “pathetic and inexcusable.”
This week, Federline, Spears’ second husband and the father of her sons Preston, 16, and Jayden, 15, stepped out and said that while loving their mother, the boys did not want to see the singer.
After giving an interview to the Daily Mail, from which excerpts were also broadcast on ITV News, Federline shared two old videos of Spears, 40, yelling at her children on Instagram. This prompted the singer’s lawyer to chastise Federline for “violating” the star’s privacy.
With the remark, “I can not sit back and allow my sons be blamed in this way after what they’ve been through,” Federline, a former backup dancer who was married to Spears from 2004 to 2007, published the videos. We made the decision as a family to post these films, despite how much it hurts. Even worse than this isn’t it? The fabrications must end. I hope our children outgrow this and become better people. He took the movies down from the internet hours later.
Federline’s source told Page Six that the tapes were posted to “remind people that she actually has a mental illness and [Federline and the sons] concern that it is going uncontrolled, rather than to make her seem evil or mean.”
One of Spears’ past boyfriends, who is outraged by Federline’s actions, told Page Six that the ex-husband is unqualified to speak.
The ex-boyfriend declared that Kevin is a loser despite being a lovely man. “It was incredibly difficult for Britney and me to be out with them because Britney knew she was paying them all this money and they were free to live their lives and spend her money any way they pleased while she was under a conservatorship and receiving a meager allowance.
“The money runs out when the kids turn 18 and Kevin is up the s-t creek.”
The unnamed ex-boyfriend even suggested that Federline might be stealing money from Spears’ father, Jamie Spears, who was partly in charge of overseeing the strict conservatorship that Spears was subjected to for 13 years.
However, Jamie hasn’t spoken to Kevin or his grandsons in almost three years, according to Alex Weingarten, Jamie’s attorney, who spoke this week to Page Six. Nothing about this is true.
Federline, who emphasized that the boys adore their mother, said this week: “The boys have decided they are not seeing her right now. They haven’t seen her in a few months. They decided against attending her wedding.
Federline continued by saying that he has found it difficult to explain to his two sons why Spears chose to publish naked and nearly nude images on Instagram. “Well, perhaps that’s just another way she’s trying to express herself,’ I said. However, that doesn’t change the fact that it harms them. It’s hard. I have no idea what it’s like to be a teenager who has to attend high school.
The lawyer for Federline chose not to respond.
“Britney Spears is a tremendously gifted, extremely hardworking icon, who is deservedly liked and appreciated by millions around the world,” Spears’ lawyer Mathew Rosengart told Page Six. Unfortunately, Mr. Federline cannot make the same claim; for unknown reasons, he chose to conduct a gratuitous interview that harmed his children’s mother.
The “Oops! I Did It Again” singer has “faithfully supported” and “loves” her sons, according to Rosengart.
