DARKSIDE Share New Single ‘Graucha Max’

DARKSIDE – Chilean electronic musician Nicolas JaarAmerican multi-instrumentalist Dave Harringtonand drummer Tlacael Esparza – have today shared their first studio composition as a trio, ‘Graucha Max’.

Completed during sessions last year, the incantatory track frequency-floats between vintage Tropicália and krautrock, with a submerged-in-the mix dancehall breakdown at the climax. Throughout, the emphasis is on rhythmic percussion – a carnival anthem with an avant-garde edge.

‘Graucha Max’ is the first original release since 2021 album ‘Spiral‘the band’s second project after debut album ‘Psychic‘. DARKSIDE are currently touring Europe, bringing to life an immersive stage show, offering fans a glimpse of unreleased music. They play Glasgow’s QMU on October 22nd, followed by two nights (24th-25th) at Alexandra Palace theatre in London.

The trio will also be curating a program at this year’s Le Guess Who? Festival in Utrecht, which will iclude performances from Maya Al Khaldi, Sarouna, Patrick Shiroishi, Phantom Orchard (Zeena Parkins and Ikue Mori), and Wadada Leo Smith.
