KiKi Layne

KiKi Layne claims that “half of the movie” was deleted from her and her “Don’t Worry Darling” co-star.

Despite having a limited role in “Don’t Worry Darling,” actress KiKi Layne claims the experience wasn’t completely unsuccessful.

The “If Beale Street Could Talk” actress wrote on her verified Instagram account over the weekend, tagging her co-star and Tony Award-winning actor Stachel for good measure, “The nicest thing about #DontWorryDarling is that I was lucky enough to meet @arielstachel.” “They mostly left us out of the movie, but we’re doing great in real life,”

She commented “Love you Ari” and included the hashtags “Got My Check,” “Got My Man,” and “Everything Happens for a Reason” in addition to releasing a video and many images from the beginning of the movie.

The movie, in which Layne plays Margaret and Statchel plays Ted, generated attention even before its recent box office-dominating opening weekend.

In addition to the rumoured #Spitgate incident, in which some claimed co-star Harry Styles may have spit on fellow cast member Chris Pine at the Venice Film Festival premiere (Wilde later said Styles did not, and Pine’s rep also denied it occurred), there was speculation that star Florence Pugh wasn’t happy with co-star Harry Styles’s relationship with director Olivia Wilde.

For a response to Layne’s remarks concerning Wilde’s diminished position in the movie, CNN has contacted a spokesperson for the actress.

Layne’s contribution to the movie was significant, a person familiar with the project told CNN, noting that “movies are edited in service to the story all the time.”
