Tonight’s Miss USA pageant competition features a former FOX 2 reporter.

Saint Louis Mikala McGhee, a former FOX 2 reporter, quit television this year and won Miss Missouri USA 2022 in her maiden competition. She will now compete in the Miss USA competition on behalf of the state. Starting at 7:00 p.m. central time, you can watch the show live from Reno, Nevada on the “FYI” cable channel on Hulu Live TV.

There will be contestants from all 50 states competing during the two-hour event. Zuri Hall, a correspondent for “Access Hollywood,” will be the host.

On 2016, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus in public relations from George Mason University. Following that, she continued her education at Florida Gulf Coast University, where she earned a master’s degree in criminal justice with a focus on law and administration.

She began working as an intern at KTVI/KPLR in 2019. She began working as a reporter the following year. Early in 2022, she made the decision that something needed to change.

“This adventure has been quite unexpected. I cherished FOX 2. I adore you all. I adore our audience. It was really difficult for me to leave our team because I love them, but I had to do it because it was in my heart. It seemed to me to be in line with my principles, the direction I intended to take my life, and my goals. McGhee remarked earlier this year, “I had to take a bet on myself and happily it paid out.

According to McGhee, she intends to return to television at some point. Her ultimate ambition is to host game shows.
