A pop riser Naomi Jane has shared her new single ‘Heartbeat Melody’.
Blessed with an incredible voice and no small degree of ambition, Naomi Jane is one of LA’s bright new pop hopes. A flurry of singles have paved her way, with the breathless emotion in her voice matched to an astute lyrical flair.
Incoming debut EP ‘Sweet Talk’ is set to be a major moment, with Naomi Jane now offering a radical new preview.
Out now, ‘Heartbeat Melody’ aims to dip into the first throes of love, with the lyrics – and the sonic palette – reflecting the rush of optimism that comes when truly connecting with someone.
As she puts it:
“This song is the exact story of how I met my high school boyfriend – I went from swearing off feelings to wearing my heart on my sleeve. ‘Heartbeat Melody’ captures that dizzying emotion.”
Adopting “a playful sound” she seems to inject huge colour into every note. Singing from the heart, Naomi uses the new single as a space for pure pop expression.
She comments: “I write a lot of songs about love but none of them have ever highlighted love to be this amazing thing. All of them sorta diss love. So often songs dwell on deceit, heartache, and the breakup. This song is about the fun of falling in love! When you want to shout it out, tell the entire world. You stay up all night talking on the phone! Can’t sleep because you’re thinking of them. That mind-dizzying feeling. It’s universal. Everyone’s been there.”
