Amazon is taking $99 off the most recent iPad mini with LTE from Apple.

That’s 15% off and the lowest price we’ve ever seen.

You’re in luck if you’ve been waiting for a good deal on the latest iPad mini with cellular connectivity. Amazon has lowered the price of the 64GB iPad mini with LTE in all available colors, bringing them all down to $550. That’s almost $100 less than their usual price, and it’s also the least we’ve ever seen these models go for. If you go through Amazon, it’s hard to get an iPad mini right now. Most WiFi-only models are sold out, and there aren’t many WiFi + Cellular models in stock. But if this setup works for you, you can save a lot of money if you buy it right now.

Last year, Apple gave the iPad mini a much-needed makeover, which only made the small tablet better. It now looks like a smaller version of the iPad Air. It has an 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display that goes almost all the way to the edges, flat edges, a TouchID power button, and a USB-C port for charging. It also has Apple’s newest camera array with Center Stage, which makes FaceTime calls even better on the tablet.

Overall, the iPad mini is a cool little gadget that shouldn’t be judged by its size alone. The A15 Bionic chip in the iPad mini made it work well with everything we threw at it. We also like that it works with the second-generation Apple Pencil, which lets you use the tablet almost like a digital notebook. The battery life is also good. We were able to use the device for about 12 hours before we had to charge it.

The iPad mini now also works with 5G, so if you’re in an area with 5G coverage, you’ll get faster data speeds. Should you use the iPad mini as your daily driver when you’re out and about, according to us? Not necessarily, but only because most people prefer bigger screens. If you want a true laptop replacement, the iPad Air might be better, but if you want something as light as possible to use on the go, the iPad mini is hard to beat.
