Chelsea Clinton and the rapper Kanye West

Chelsea Clinton claims she removed Kanye West from her running playlist due to his treatment of Kim Kardashian.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Chelsea Clinton no longer listens to Kanye West’s music.
She claimed she removed him from her playlist due to his treatment of his ex-wife Kim Kardashian.
Clinton spoke with Kardashian for her new Apple TV+ docu-series “Gutsy.”

Chelsea Clinton, the former first daughter, stated that she removed Kanye West from her running playlist due to the way he treated his ex-wife Kim Kardashian and other women.

Clinton told Entertainment Weekly in an interview published Tuesday that she had always enjoyed the rapper’s music but could no longer listen to it.

“I’ve had to let Kanye go,” Clinton said to Entertainment Weekly. “Just the way he has treated Kim Kardashian and talked about women is unconscionable to me.”

“That was some of my favourite running music, and I deleted it from my music collection.”

Representatives for Ye did not immediately respond to an inquiry from Insider.

Clinton’s interview was to promote “Gutsy,” her new Apple TV+ docuseries with her mother, Hillary Clinton, former Secretary of State and 2016 presidential candidate.

The mother and daughter interview a variety of prominent women, including Kardashian, rapper Megan Thee Stallion, actor Amy Schumer, and conservation activist Dame Jane Goodall, in the series.

Kardashian, who has worked on bipartisan prison reforms and announced in December that she had passed the “baby bar,” California’s examination for first-year law students, was admired by the younger Clinton, who told Entertainment Weekly that she had always admired her.

“I’ve long admired Kim’s commitment to criminal justice reform,” the younger Clinton said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

The reality TV star, who has four children with Ye and has been married to him for seven years, filed for divorce in February 2021. In March, she was declared legally single.

Over the last year, the high-profile couple has had a number of public squabbles, including Ye harassing Kardashian’s now-ex-boyfriend, actor Pete Davidson, on social media.

Kardashian apologised to her family earlier this year for how Ye treated them, with sister Khloé Kardashian suggesting that Ye was “publicly trashing the mother of their children.”

After Ye publicly chastised Kardashian for allowing their 9-year-old daughter North West to use TikTok, Kardashian responded by saying Ye’s “constant attacks” on social media were “more hurtful than any TikTok North West might create.”
