On Sunday, Ireland Baldwin took to Instagram to share a series of selfies showing off her new platinum blond buzzcut.
“Don’t tell me I won’t do something because I will,” the 26-year-old model declared in the caption, adding “buzzed by @hairmettle” and crediting hairstylist Hannah Bonetti for the edgy ‘do.
Baldwin also posted a photo to her Instagram Story, superimposing a message about her renewed outlook on life and beauty.
“Do things that frighten you. “Do things you’ll never do,” the statement began.
“My hair has been destroyed by years of bleach and modelling and bulls-t since I was 17,” she said of her modelling experiences, which began after she signed with IMG in 2013.
“A restart/refresh is long overdue,” Baldwin added.
“I’ve always wanted to do this, but I’ve been afraid.” I feel more beautiful than ever now that I don’t care what other people think.”
Needless to say, Baldwin’s friends, fans, and family were all taken aback by her daring and buzzy hairstyle change.
Words appear to have escaped Paris Hilton, but who needs ’em when a simple “” can express any heart-eye-felt reaction?
“Dreamy,” actress Hilary Duff said, and Bishop Briggs added, “STUNNING.”
Tess Holliday also commented, writing “Loooooove,” and beauty queen Nadia Mejia exclaimed, “Insane!!!!”
Last but not least, Baldwin’s mother, Kim Basinger, took advantage of the opportunity to remind everyone that her “baby” was still alive.
