Eddie Vedder’s throat hurt from the heat, so Pearl Jam had to cancel their Vienna show.

(CNN) Due to the extreme heat in Europe, the famous rock band Pearl Jam had to cancel its Wednesday night show in Vienna.

The band told fans on Instagram that lead singer Eddie Vedder’s throat was “damaged” at his last show outside of Paris because of the heat, dust, and smoke from nearby fires.
“We, too, were looking forward to a great Pearl Jam show in Vienna tonight. But because of the extreme heat, dust, and smoke from the fires at the last outdoor site outside of Paris, our singer Ed Vedder’s throat was hurt “what was being said. “He has seen doctors and been treated, but his vocal cords still aren’t back to normal.”

This week, Europe has been hit by both high temperatures and wildfires.
Olivier Veran, a government spokesman, told reporters on Wednesday that wildfires have burned 25 times more land in France so far this year than they did during the same time last year. Germany, which is next to Austria, had its hottest day of the year, and more heat is on the way.

“This is terrible news that couldn’t have come at a worse time… for everyone. Both the people who work so hard to put on the shows and the people who give up their time and energy to go, “band members added. “We’re very sorry as a band, and we’ve tried to find ways to still play. Ed wants to play, too. There’s just nobody to talk to right now.”
They also said, “I’m so, so sorry.”

The statement says that tickets will be refunded where they were bought.
Pearl Jam has one more show in Prague and two more nights in Amsterdam on this leg of its tour. The North American part of their tour will begin in September.
