To see his family, Eric Church postponed a stadium performance.
The 44-year-old country singer was set to perform at the ATT Center in San Antonio, Texas on Saturday (02.04.22), but cancelled to watch North Carolina against Duke.
He stated: “My family and I will be cheering for the Tar Heels in the Final Four on Saturday.
“As a lifetime Carolina basketball fan, seeing Carolina and Duke meet in the Final Four for the first time in NCAA Tournament history is a dream come true.
While cancelling the show was the most “selfish” thing he has ever done, he hoped fans’ “passion” for music was similar to his enthusiasm for athletics.
“It’s “To cancel your Saturday night arrangements with us so I can spend this time with my family and sports community. But it’s the same enthusiasm that makes us want to be part of a throng at a game like this.”
