First time together after the Oscars slap that Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith were photographed

For the first time since Will Smith slapped Chris Rock over a joke made about Jada during the 2022 Oscars back in March, Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith have been seen out and about together.

Photographers saw the couple, who appeared to be in high spirits, walking hand in hand near the celebrity hotspot Nobu on Saturday in Malibu. Will nodded to spectators as they passed.

For the outing, the Oscar winner wore a black cap, a navy polo shirt, and matching pants. A brand-new pair of white Air Force Ones finished off the ensemble. Jada completed her all-black style with delicate jewelry, a pair of sunglasses, and sneakers while tying a plaid sweater around her waist.

The incident occurred shortly after Will issued his most recent apologies for hitting Rock during the ceremony as a result of a “G.I. Jane” joke the comedian made about Jada, who has alopecia areata, which causes hair loss.

In the YouTube video, Smith added, “I reached out to Chris, and the word that got back is that he’s not ready to talk, but when he is, he will call out.” “I’m going to apologize to you, Chris. I’m available to speak with you anytime you’re ready, and my behavior was inappropriate.

In a June episode of her Facebook Watch series “Red Table Hash,” Jada addressed the situation and expressed her desire for “these two brilliant, capable men to have the opportunity to heal, talk things out, and reunite.

“The state of the world today, we need them both,” she continued. And now more than ever, we all need one another. Until then, Will and I are continuing to do what we have done for the last 28 years, and that keeps figuring out this thing called life together. I appreciate your listening.

Regarding Rock, the comedian has only addressed the subject onstage during recent performances, comparing Smith to Suge Knight, a former executive at Death Row Records and well-known hothead.

During a performance at Atlanta’s Fox Theater, Rock, 57, remarked, “Everybody is trying to be an f—ing victim.” “If everyone declares himself to be a victim, the actual victims won’t be heard. Even Suge Smith punching me in the face… The following day, I went to work because I have kids.

Rock said, “Anyone who believes words hurt has never taken a blow to the face.
