After teasing us for weeks, the flashy phone is almost here.
Nothing, the new consumer tech company led by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei, is going to announce its first smartphone on July 12 at an event called (brace yourselves): Nothing: Go back to Instinct.
The company hasn’t been shy about announcing the Nothing Phone 1’s features before its “official” launch, so we already know what it will look like and many of the features it will have. Its most flashy (literally) feature is a set of lightstrips on the back that can flash in time with the phone’s ringtones, show if it’s charging, and do other things.
But the most important things Nothing hasn’t said yet are how much the phone will cost, when it will come out, and where it will be sold. All of that should become clear after the event on July 12.
