Alexis Clark shares how putting herself first and doing what’s best for her has been the key to her success.

Alexis Clark has always dreamt of making it big. At a young age, she was inspired by her mother’s work in the modeling industry. Despite growing up in a small town in Michigan where her dreams seemed out of grasp, Alexis was determined to forge her own career path. As a senior in high school, Alexis was discovered by her first agency in Miami. After spending four years in Florida, she moved to Los Angeles, CA by herself at 22.
“Going from such a small school to a huge school in Florida, especially as a senior, was a huge challenge, but I knew for my future I needed to do this,” said Alexis.
In 2020, Yahoo Finance recognized Alexis as one of the “Top Influencers to Watch in 2020”. Her partnerships with some of today’s most popular clothing brands have inspired her to start transitioning her own personal brand into fashion, beauty, and fitness. She is now focusing on furthering her modeling career, as well as going into styling and directing shoots. Alexis hopes to find an outlet in the fashion industry to express her creativity and bring her ideas to life.
In an industry with so many beautiful girls competing for recognition, what makes Alexis stand out is her ability to love and give back. She grew up volunteering in women’s shelters for domestic violence and plans on continuing to volunteer in LA. With a firm belief that what you give is what you’ll get, Alexis is differentiating herself through her heart of gold. Despite making it big, Alexis has stayed true to herself and her morals. She is an advocate for treating others the way she wants to be treated and always goes above and beyond for the people in her life. A champion for women’s empowerment, Alexis also reminds women to embrace their natural beauty and feel confident in their own skin.
Now that Alexis has been exposed to the realities of the fashion and modeling industry, she wants to be a source of advice for young women. In such a competitive and saturated industry, Alexis emphasizes the importance of always putting yourself first and doing what’s best for you.
“Do what inspires you, do not allow anything to get in the way of you and your dreams because life is too short to not enjoy the work you do each day,” said Alexis. “Be accepting of yourself and love yourself just as you are.”
Alexis never let her fears get in the way of her goals. By always doing what inspires her and loving herself, she has worked hard for all of her successes. She continues to push the boundaries and set new goals for herself. At the end of summer, Alexis hopes to be on the cover of a notable magazine and style or direct a shoot. Her strong work ethic and ambition makes her a force to be reckoned with, and we are sure to see her creativity take over the modeling and fashion industry in the near future.
