Laverne Cox reacts hilariously to being mistaken for Beyoncé at the US Open.

At the US Open, Laverne Cox had the best reaction to being mistaken for Beyoncé.

“Not me getting mistaken for @Beyonce at the #USOpen tonight and then trending on Twitter as the internet cackles over the mistaken identity,” the 50-year-old actress wrote on Instagram on Monday.

She continued, “Go @serenawilliams #GOAT,” calling the mix-up “funny as hell.”

Fans of the Daytime Emmy winner joked that she had them “duped,” exclaiming, “You DESERVE! Behind the mask, you had [the] queen’s essence radiating.”

Cox had gone viral earlier that day after video of her wearing a black face mask and silver hoop earrings and cheering for Serena Williams went viral.

The confusion started when a Twitter user shared the video with the caption “Beyonce at the #USOpen.”

“The fact that this is Laverne Cox has me screaming,” one fan clarified. “Baby, this is Laverne Cox,” said another.

Cox, who was dressed in a sheer black top, matching gloves, and tan leather pants for the event, began responding to individual tweets about the mix-up.

When one social media user asked whether Queen B, 40, was “at the US Open or not,” Cox wrote, “Girl. It was my fault. Lol.”

The “Orange Is the New Black” alum also agreed with a tweet that referred to the moment as a “career highlight,” writing, “Absolutely!”

Cox made sure to include “GO @serenawilliams” in each tweet, showing her support for the 40-year-old tennis pro in her final US Open.

In a Vogue cover story earlier this month, the athlete announced her retirement.
