‘Lou’ Trailer: Allison Janney and Jurnee Smollett Star in Netflix’s Bad Robot-Produced Action-Thriller

Netflix has released a trailer and first look photos for its upcoming action-thriller Lou, starring Oscar winner Allison Janney (I, Tonya) and Emmy nominee Jurnee Smollett (Lovecraft Country).

The film follows Lou (Janney), a woman who believes she has put her dangerous past behind her, but her quiet life is disrupted when a desperate mother (Smollett) begs her to assist in the rescue of her kidnapped daughter. As a massive storm rages, the two women risk their lives on a rescue mission that will put their limits to the test and reveal dark and shocking secrets from their pasts.

Lou is written and directed by Maggie Cohn (The Staircase) and Jack Stanley, and stars Logan Marshall-Green, Ridley Asha Bateman, and Matt Craven. J.J. Abrams, Hannah Minghella, and Jon Cohen of Bad Robot produced, and Janney and Smollett executive produced alongside Braden Aftergood, Brendan Ferguson, Cory Bennett Lewis, and Lindsey Weber.

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, Rian Johnson’s anticipated Knives Out sequel, will be released in select theatres at an undetermined date after debuting globally on Netflix on December 23rd. Daniel Craig reprises his role as Detective Benoit Blanc, who travels to Greece to unravel the mystery involving a new cast of colourful suspects. Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline, Kate Hudson, and Dave Bautista also star in the film.
