Last year, the ‘She Wolf’ singer and the soccer star split up after he allegedly cheated on her with Clara Chia Marti.
Shakira recently darkened his current girlfriend, saying in a recent interview that “there’s a special place in hell for women who don’t support women,” after recording another apparent “diss single” aimed at her former Gerard Piqué.
Pique, the father of her two sons, recently made his relationship with Clara Chia Marti, 23, public after the two allegedly cheated while the “She Wolf” singer was on tour.
The pair had been married for 11 years before they announced their divorce in June.
“I bought the story that a woman needs a guy to be complete,” Shakira, 46, said on Televisa’s “En Punto” show in Spanish. “I fantasized about having a family: a mother and father living with their children under the same roof. Not every dream in life comes true, but life always finds a way to compensate.”

“There is this saying… that I love, and it says, ‘There is a special place in hell for women who don’t support women,” she continued, quoting former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright.
“I absolutely love love,” she continued. “But I guess I’m seeing things from a different angle now,” she thought. “I believe I am sufficient, and I believe that when a woman overcomes hardships in life, she emerges stronger. You learn to accept your shortcomings, embrace your vulnerabilities, and share any suffering you may be experiencing.”
The singer stated it was cathartic to work with DJ Bizarrap on “BZRP Music Session #53,” in which she sang in Spanish “I was out of your league” and “I won’t get back with you, not if you cry, not even if you beg me.”
In her new song “TQG,” Shakira sings in Spanish, “You’re not welcome here anymore/ I witnessed what your girlfriend said to me/ It doesn’t even make me angry/ I chuckle.”
