The launch of “Top Gun: Maverick” on digital Winter release date for 4K/Blu-ray set this month

From the comfort of your own home, you’ll experience the urge for speed!

Joseph Kosinski’s Top Gun: Maverick has officially established a release date so you may see the movie in the comfort of your own home and to own the physical media later this year, following the fan appreciation event and well-deserved victory lap this weekend. You can now buy the legendary sequel digitally starting on August 23 after it broke the $1 billion box office barrier and replaced the long-reigning Titanic as the number one movie. The 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray releases of the movie, on the other hand, won’t be available until November.

Tom Cruise plays Pete “Maverick” Mitchell again in Top Gun: Maverick, a sequel to the 1986 movie of the same name. Maverick is asked to return to TOPGUN to instruct a new group of graduates, among them Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw (Miles Teller), the son of his late comrade “Goose,” more than thirty years after the tragedy shown in the previous movie. The film’s phenomenal popularity can be attributed in part to the mind-blowing action and stunts, as well as the positive and uplifting experience it offers. In addition to smashing box office records, moviegoers’ thirst for speed has made the Legacy sequel the highest-grossing movie ever for Paramount and Cruise’s whole storied career.

With the upcoming release of Top Gun: Maverick, viewers will be treated to more than 110 minutes of bonus material, which includes behind-the-scenes moments with the filmmakers as they capture the breathtaking aerial sequences, push the limits beyond Mach-10, and, of course, you’ll be able to watch the cast’s rigorous flight training programme that got them in shape for some of the insanely cool moments in the movie. In the supplementary material, Cruise also discusses his love of aviation while flying his own plane and his great career at the 75th Cannes Film Festival. Top Gun: Maverick marks a historic event in not just the history of Paramount but also Cruise’s personal career. Fans of Lady Gaga will also be happy to learn that this release will include both their music video and OneRepublic’s.

In Top Gun: Maverick, in addition to Cruise and Teller, Glen Powell, Monica Barbaro, Lewis Pullman, Danny Ramirez, Jay Ellis, Greg Tarzan Davis, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, and Val Kilmer, who reprises his role as “Iceman,” all appear.

Top Gun: Maverick is still in theaters, but you can own the film on digital beginning on August 23, with the 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD release arriving on November 1. See some of the bonus material below:
