India and the United States wrapped off their 2+2 talks recently. The US Defense Secretary Austin Lloyd and Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar to discuss ways to strengthen and advance bilateral ties in defense and politics while also exchanging views on the Ukraine conflict and Indo-Pacific issues.
President Biden and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had their first summit-level meeting before their 2+2 session. Because of this, this 2+2 conversation has been elevated to a higher level. In the midst of Russia’s continuous invasion of Ukraine, this is the first high-level meeting between the two nations, and neither country has the same stance on the matter.
