iPhone 14 series

What we know so far about the next top-of-the-line Apple iPhones in the 14 series

The new Apple iPhone 14-series is likely to be shown off to the public in a couple of months. Here’s what we know so far about the next series of flagship smartphones.

Even though Apple hasn’t announced any dates yet, the. The iPhone 14 series should come out in September. Leaks have already told us a lot about the new iPhone 14-series for this year, including that there will be big differences between the Pro and non-Pro models, that there won’t be a “mini” version, and that Apple’s signature notch will have a new look. Here is what we know so far about the new iPhone 14 series.

No more ‘mini’
Leaks have said for months that there won’t be a smaller “mini” version of the iPhone 14 series. Apple seems to have decided to stop making the small-sized iPhone because it doesn’t sell well. They won’t make any more of them after the iPhone 14 series. The flagship number-series phones are getting bigger, so Apple fans who want a smaller phone may only have the iPhone SE-series left.

Also, a report says that the M2-powered MacBook Pro from Apple could come out this fall.
Four new iPhones are coming out.
Even though there won’t be an iPhone “mini,” Apple will still make four different iPhones this year, just like it did with the iPhone 12 and 13 series. But a new iPhone 14 Max is coming out this year, in addition to the usual Apple iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. This will give people who want a big iPhone two options, since they won’t have to spend more money on a “Pro” version just because it’s bigger.

Each series has a different set of chipsets.
The iPhone 14 series may also be the first time that the Pro and non-Pro versions of the phone have different chipsets. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says that the new A16 Bionic chip will only be available in the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max. The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max, on the other hand, may still use the A15 chip from last year or a version of it with some changes.

Apple is also said to be bringing in new parts from Sony (for the camera) and LG (for the phone’s screen) only for the Pro models, which suggests that the non-Pro iPhone 14 models may not get a big camera upgrade from last year.

New notch in a I shape
Reports say that the new iPhone 14-series will be the first to ditch Apple’s signature notch in favor of a new i-shaped notch. This will have a round punch hole and a longer notch in the shape of a pill. While the front camera is likely to go in the hole, the IR sensors that make Apple’s FaceID work could go in the pill-shaped notch.

We still don’t know, though, if the new design will be on all four models or just the Pro versions.

Full renders leaked
The iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max could look like this, according to a new leak from CGTrader. Look at the pictures below.

As you can see, the design isn’t likely to change much this year, except for the new notches. The back of each phone will have three cameras, and the body will be made of metal.

The iPhone 14 Max could be hard to get when it comes out.
The non-Pro ‘Max’ version, which is the newest model, might not have enough units because there aren’t enough to go around. Ross Young, an analyst, said that the shipments of display panels for the new Max variant are “way behind” schedule. This also suggests that the iPhone 14 Max will have its own display panel. This panel is expected to be about the same size as the rumored 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max, but it will have a different notch.
