The first Madden Football Friday in five years, Madden NFL 23 officially debuts on Friday, Aug. 19, and features a two-edition memorial to the series’ namesake, John Madden, who passed away in December.
With a three-day preview starting on Tuesday, EA Play subscribers and those who pre-ordered the All-Madden Edition can now access the game. But what more do the pre-order incentive and special edition offer football fans? What if all you want is the basic version?
Here, we’ll explain that to you. Xbox One, Windows PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X users can download Madden NFL 23.
BONUS FOR PRE-ORDERING MADDEN NFL 23
A selection of virtual items for the game’s Ultimate Team mode are included in the Madden NFL 23 pre-order bonus. Players get to pick from a variety of Elite-level Ultimate Team players, one for offence and one for defence. Additionally, they receive a “Madden Strategy Item” to help the squad along with the All-Madden Gear set for their players.
Best Buy does sell digital editions, so those who pre-order through them will also receive a $15 Best Buy gift card.
Standard Edition of Madden NFL 23
What you see is what you receive with Madden NFL 23 for your preferred platform, unless you pre-order the game. Customers who prefer to purchase it digitally can do so through the Epic Games Store, Steam, Origin, and the PlayStation Store. On PC, PS4, and Xbox One, the game costs $59.99; on PS5 and Xbox Series X, it costs $69.99.
ALL-MADDEN EDITION of Madden NFL 23
Players can use the additional content in the $99.99, digital-only Madden NFL 23 All-Madden Edition to swiftly assemble their Ultimate Teams. Additionally, the All-Madden Edition gives Xbox and PlayStation purchasers access to both the game’s last-gen and current-gen iterations.
Regardless of whether they pre-order this version, customers of the All-Madden Edition receive the pre-order bonus material (their choice of two Elite players, All-Madden gear, and “strategy item”). As a result, the three-day preview that is currently in progress is basically the pre-order bonus for this edition. (There was a promotion for pre-ordering All-Madden that ended on July 22.) Owners of all versions of Madden receive 4,600 Madden Points, a premium virtual currency that can be exchanged for MUT Coins, the earned virtual money for Ultimate Team.
