Zo Kravitz says she’s “very grateful” to have met Channing Tatum.
In a recent interview, she stated, “I felt pulled to him and wanted to meet with him.
Kravitz is candid about her initial impression of her current lover Channing Tatum.
In a recent interview with WSJ. Magazine, Kravitz discussed her collaboration with Tatum on Pussy Island, her feature film debut.
It’s a very sacred environment when you create things with other people, and when you can communicate creatively with someone, it frequently opens up other channels because you’re kind of sharing all of yourself, she added.
She continued, “I’m extremely grateful that this movie has brought him into my life that way,” in reference to Tatum.
“Someone who hadn’t played a dark role before,” said Kravitz, “because I think that’s intriguing to watch someone who’s usually played boy next door, decent guy, love interest, all of that,” was the type of actor she was looking for.
The Batman actress had a good vibe about Tatum even before they had their first encounter.
She claimed that she had an impression of him as a feminist who wasn’t scared to explore the dark side because he is aware that he is not that. “I was pulled to him because of this and wanted to meet him. I was correct, too.”
In the movie Pussy Island, in which Tatum plays a tech billionaire who invites a cocktail waitress (played by Naomi Ackie) to his private island, Kravitz and E.T. Feigenbaum co-wrote the script. Tatum seemed to have been in mind when Kravitz wrote the part.
The Magic Mike alum told WSJ. Magazine, “It’s always incredibly exciting to have someone bring you something that literally no one else has ever thought of you for.” “Prior to meeting Zo for the movie, I had never met her. The movie was in a much different form when we first met, but the themes remained the same. To be honest, all of the revisions it underwent were distinctly punk rock.”
Similar sentiments were voiced by Kravitz in an ELLE interview from February.
“I believe he is a feminist after looking at his work and hearing him talk about Magic Mike and the live event. You need to be so far away from this to avoid being scared “At the time, she said. “And I don’t believe we’ve ever seen him portray a dark character. I can’t wait to watch him accomplish it.”
In January 2021, after Kravitz filed for divorce from her ex-husband Karl Glusman, dating rumours between the two first surfaced. The actors were seen making PDA-heavy public appearances in New York City later that year, despite a source’s claims to the contrary at the time.
